Smokey came to HSDC with her kittens in tow about to pop. She was a wonderful Mama cat and raised all her kittens like a pro. She is now a retired mom looking for the relaxing life. She is shy but very loving. Smokey doesn't really like to be picked up but loves belly rubs. She does like to find a quiet dark place to nap during the day. Smokey has a sponsored adoption fee. More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Davie County is a non-profit 501c3 group seeking to make a difference in the lives of animals in Davie County and surrounding areas. The Humane Society obtained tax-exempt status in late 1998 and since then has endeavored to improve conditions for animals at the local animal shelter, raise awareness in the community about the need of spay/neuter of animals, and place numerous previously unwanted animals into loving homes. The Humane Society’s long-term goal is to eliminate the overpopulation of dogs and cats in Davie County.
