My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benson and his sister Buttons was brought to a rural property, by his momma Becky. It was clear that they had never been touched and took some time for him to become familiar with kindness. He is still timid and takes time to trust, but once he does, he enjoys lots of chin scratches. He loves to play with the other kitties in his foster home. We don't think he's ever been exposed to a dog, but would probably be fine if properly introduced.
He is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on his vaccines and will come with a voucher for his neuter at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. To facilitate the neuter surgery, applications from locations within half an hour distance from Woodstock will be considered.

An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet.
Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward.
You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200.
It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along.
We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations.
