Please come and meet Kudzu. He is so much fun and if someone came to hang out with him at our shelter for a little bit, they would know that too. He is a handsome tabby fellow with white boots that he is not to proud to put all over you!! He just can't show his true self at one of our stores because a kennel is not his friend, he shuts down. He still doesn't really like to be held, but sitting with you is another thing -- you can do that all day long. Please, please, please give him a chance. He has been in our shelter way too long!!!
Kudzu is back at our shelter from the stores we adopt from, but because being in a kennel does not bring out his good side. He loves to play still, even though he is already a year old. He gets along with other cats. He likes people. If you happened to be one of the people who looked at him at the store and thought about him -- you need to meet him out of the kennel. He is not wild about being held, but other than that he is a great guy. Want to give this boy who has grown up in a shelter a chance? Come and meet him!!
Adoption Fee: $150 Cut and Paste application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ct0QYvSBYVQvBXjU3oFPH7nMRnuzAob4K24LdDMRM8U/edit
Kudzu is the son of Wisteria, who was willing to give her life to protect him. She has raised a fine and fun son. He doesn't remember the danger he was in or how close he was to losing his mom. He is now an independent young un' that loves to run and jump and especially pounce on your feet and grab your ankles. He loves to play with the other youngsters around the shelter as well as the humans. He will be a lot of work and a lot of fun. If you have breakables -- watch out, or put them up until he is older and slower. He really does like playing with his sibling May Pop. So if your are considering 2, he would definitely do well with someone to entertain him when he wears his human out.
The Kitten's mom was attacked by a dog trying to protect her newborn kittens. She was seriously injured and turned into Haralson county Animal Control. They reached out to Floyd Felines to help with the situation. We took in Wisteria and rushed her to the vet where she had surgery. Our goal is to rehabilitate mom while caring for her kittens if possible. We want this kitten to grow up with her mom and be healthy and happy

Additional adoption info
Our kitties are ALWAYS spayed/neutered and vaccinated before we put them up for adoption.
The adoptee will need to fill out an application and be approved, then they will be contacted regarding setting up an appointment to meet our available cats and kittens. If we feel it necessary, we may request a home visit. We want to make sure the adoption is a good fit for both owner and pet.

More about this rescue
Floyd County has the 3rd largest intake of cats in the state, including all Atlanta-area shelters. Floyd Felines was created to stop the weekly euthanasia. We pull sick cats and young kittens out of Floyd County Animal Control, now known as Public Animal Welfare Services, and take them to our private shelter where they are able to get necessary attention. We also pull hundreds of healthy, adoptable cats and kittens to be transported to Northern rescue partners to have higher chances of adoption. This work opens kennels at animal control so that it is no longer required to euthanize for space.
We also have a working cat program, where we match up “feral” cats to approved, outdoor homes where they can control the mice and snake population. These cats are usually some of the first to be euthanized at shelters, so we are thrilled that we are able to provide hope for their futures.
