My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY ONLY
Minnie, estimated to be under 2 yrs old and weighing 9 lbs, is a very active girl. She is energetic, playful, happy and snuggly. While she can be very affectionate, she does have some aggressive tendencies and may occasionally bite when unwillingly moved or picked up. She is very independent and can be stubborn, so she does not always come when called.
Minnie would do best as an only dog since she tends to guard her food and toys and does not want to share with another dog. She prefers to be your one and only.
Minnie tends to bark frequently and it is high-pitched and loud, so she cannot be in a condo or home with close neighbors that would be bothered by her barking.
Her foster family has been working with her on potty manners. Minnie will only reliably pee/poop on a walk with a leash outside the yard. She needs a home with someone who will provide consistent training on potty habits.
She is crate trained, but does not do well riding in a car and tends to get car sickness.
A suitable home for Minnie would be adult-only single-family household with fenced yard, preferably retired single person or couple with puppy/dog-training knowledge and time and willingness to sufficiently train an active puppy with aggression, resource-guarding and inconsistent potty manners. No young children or other dogs, no condos or close neighbors due to barking.
If you think you and Minnie would be a good match, please complete an application.
