My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

AVA is looking for her forever home. This wonderful girl has been waiting for a long time. A Lab for Life doesn't have enough fosters so poor AVA has been in boarding and it has been way too long! She is more than ready for her forever family.

AVA is beautiful girl. She does not have a tail but that is a plus when she gets excited, she doesn't clear the coffee table like another lab might!

Let me tell you about AVA so we can see if she is the right fit for your home:
Very affectionate; very well behaved and obedient
Easy to walk on a leash
Will come right to you
Potty trained
Good with everyone except maybe little ones due to her size
Smart, fast learner and she is eager to learn; food motivated which makes training easier
Prefers big dogs, not particularly fond of smaller dogs

AVA is a special girl that just needs a chance. Does she sound like the right fit for you and your family?

More about this rescue

A Lab for Life (ALL) provides a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs that includes a safe haven, medical care by a licensed veterinarian, nutrition (food) and a fur-ever family through adoption. ALL promotes the humane treatment of animals in the community.

ALL was founded in July 2020 by a group of dog advocates in central Oklahoma and
Northeastern US after some had been volunteering with an out of state rescue for over 5 years. That experience solidified a local organization was needed. ALL formed to rescue as many stray, homeless and owner surrendered dogs as possible by partnering with many state-wide shelters and rescue operations. In addition to transferring homeless dogs from the shelters, fostering them in temporary homes and adopting them out, we also provide behavioral and medical resources to people who are considering surrendering their dog in an effort to keep the dog in their homes and out of the shelter/rescue system.
ALL operates under the 5 freedoms for animal welfare.
We are a brand new organization and welcome donations!
