Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Peanut Butter!
Peanut Butter is one of the most loving dogs I’ve known. She was abused before I started fostering her and was found drowning in the river. A man rescued her and I got her from him. I’ve had her 4 months. She is crate trained and sees it as her safe space. She enjoys staying in it when I have to leave and throughout the day. She sleeps for 10 or more hours a day, which isn’t uncommon for her breed. She plays well with my Australian Shepherd, likes to wrestle with her, and isn’t bothered by my adult cat.
Peanut Butter’s favorite thing is to have her head in my lap, being petted, or laying at my feet as I work. She has the funniest sweetest grin where she shows her teeth when she gets excited.
She needs a home, possibly with someone retired, who will keep her as an inside dog and who can give her all the love and snuggles she deserves. She is good on a leash but cowers down when other cars approach. She does not like being scolded, possibly flashbacks from her previous life. She is good with children but did a low growl once when a 2 year old got close to her crate while she was in it. She is good with other dogs and with cats, but has low growled at them if they get close to her crate while she is in it.
Heartworm status: Completed heartworm treatment and is on prevention. Should be retested in 6 months
