My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please note that we can not guarantee the age, expected weight or breed of any animal. What we provide is our best estimates based on our experience and the information provided by the our medical partners. If breed and eventual size are of great importance we suggest looking into a breed specific rescue or adopting a full grown animal.

Unless otherwise noted, ALL animals are fostered and available for adoption on Long Island, NY.

Cubby is an adorable and affectionate canine companion looking for his forever home. Here's what you need to know about this lovable pup: Toy Enthusiast: Cubby's eyes light up when he sees toys he can sink his teeth into. He absolutely loves playtime and is a pro at entertaining himself with his favorite chew toys. ️ No Fussy Eater: Cubby is not a picky eater, which makes mealtime a breeze. He'll happily chow down on his food and is quite low-maintenance in this department. Crate Trained: Cubby feels secure and comfortable in a crate. In fact, he prefers having a safe space, especially when he's in a new environment. It's his way of easing into a new home. Socially Shy, But Quick to Bond: While Cubby can be a bit nervous when meeting new people, a little patience and slow introductions go a long way. Once he gets to know you, he'll form a deep bond and shower you with affection. ‍‍‍ Best Suited for Older Kids: Due to his initial shyness, Cubby may not be the best fit for households with young children. Older kids who can respect his boundaries and give him space are a better match. Well-Trained: Cubby is a smart pup who knows his basics - sit, down, stay, and recall. He's also a pleasure to walk on a leash, making outdoor adventures enjoyable. Outdoor Enthusiast: If you love off-leash adventures, Cubby is the perfect companion. He stays close to his human friends and responds well to a simple recall cue - his name! Dog-Friendly: Cubby gets along with other dogs, but a structured introduction and supervision are important initially. With a little time, he'll be making new furry friends. Indifferent to Cats: Cubby doesn't seem to pay much attention to cats; he simply ignores them. If you're looking for a loyal and playful canine companion, Cubby might be the perfect match for you. Give this sweet pup a chance to thrive in a loving home!

More about this rescue

We provide adoption services in NY, NJ, CT, RI, NH, and ME.

Last Chance Animal Rescue is a Charitable, not -for profit organization, created to save the lives of animals. We rescue animals that are located in "KILL" facilities and underwrite the costs of relocating them to "NO KILL" facilities in hopes of finding them a forever family. We work with local veterinarians for spay-neuter/ medical services until permanent placement is secured into a pre-screened loving home. We depend on donations to continue to save these helpless loving animals from being killed and hope that you will consider supporting our cause..... saving as many lives as we can.
