My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gwen is a 7 year old fish - just kidding, she is a pointer mix, but she LOVES water as much as a fish does. From kiddie pools to rivers, this girl is all about that 'Live- Love- Lake Life'.

She is an adorable 7-year-old pointer mix who is eagerly seeking a forever home. Gwen is more than ready to bid farewell to foster care and embark on a new adventure filled with love and companionship.

With her sweet nature and affectionate disposition, Gwen is quick to charm anyone she meets. Her tail wags incessantly, an ever-present sign of her joy and excitement when greeting people. Gwen also does a good job walking on leash. While Gwen is a social butterfly with humans, she does require gradual introductions to other furry friends.

One thing that truly sets Gwen apart is her love for water. Providing her with opportunities to enjoy water-related activities will undoubtedly bring out her playful and adventurous spirit. She'd enjoy playing in a kiddie pool and would love trips to the lake or river.

Are you ready to open your heart and home to Gwen? This delightful pointer mix is yearning for a loving family that will shower her with affection, understanding, and plenty of opportunities to embrace her love for adventures and water. Together, you and Gwen can create a lifetime of cherished memories and embark on countless new experiences. Come to our Medical Care Center and meet Gwen today and discover the immeasurable joy she can bring to your life.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.

San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.

Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.

questions.

If you are interested in fostering an animal, please visit our website and fill out our online Foster Application. The more foster homes we have the more animals we can pull off the euthanasia list and the more lives we can save together!
