My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Woof! Hey there, pals! My name's Freight, and let me tell ya, I've got a story to bark about! I'm a proud 5-year-old Great Dane, standing tall and wagging strong. Life hasn't been all bones and belly rubs for me, but I'm a survivor, through and through!

You see, I've conquered the big bad Heartworm beastie like a champ. It wasn't easy, but with lots of love and care, I wagged my way through treatment and came out on top. Now, I'm feeling fit as a fiddle and ready to sniff out all the adventures life has to offer!

I'm a dog who knows how to enjoy the simple pleasures, like leisurely walks where I can take in all the scents of the world around me. Oh, and don't get me started on my love for hanging out with other dogs! There's nothing quite like a good old-fashioned playdate to get my tail wagging.

But hey, I'm not just a four-legged fluffball-I'm also a student! Yep, you heard that right. I'm currently hitting the books (well, more like hitting the treats) at Miracle Canine Training. They're helping me fine-tune my skills and become the best boy I can possibly be. And guess what? They even offer follow-up training to ensure I stay on my best behavior!

So, if you're on the lookout for a well-trained, lovable companion who's been through the ruff stuff and come out stronger on the other side, then look no further! Just shoot an email over to foster@cuyahogacounty.us, and we can arrange a meet and greet. Trust me, folks, you won't regret giving this good boy a chance to wiggle his way into your heart!

Where Our Dogs Come From

Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter is a temporary home for dogs that are found on the streets by the county dog wardens. Dogs are held for 72 hours in order for the owner to claim them. After the holding period, unclaimed dogs may be available for adoption.
