ABOUT HAZEL
Are you looking to add a little sparkle to your life? Look no further and meet Hazel! She is a 5 year old torti lady who came to HAP after her owners were unable to care for her. Hazel is truly a one-of-a-kind kitty! Hazel is a diva through and through, so she has decided she isn't willing to share the spotlight with other furry friends. However, she is loving life in a temporary foster home! While she is in foster, Hazel is available for adoption by-appointment. Check out what Hazel's foster mom has to say about her:

"She is still as sweet as can be!! I sleep in her room 1-2 nights a week so that so she can enjoy nighttime cuddles. She has seen my girls and the majority of the time she doesn't mind them. A few times she has hissed at them/back at them. Over the Holiday, she was able to meet my nieces and nephew and did really well! She just loves attention!! Her newest thing is asking for belly rubs!" - Hazel's foster mom

Hazel is a character like none other! She is super affectionate, almost clingy, but only on her terms. Luckily, she is very good about giving signals for when she isn't feeling in a very loving mood. When she is in the mood for love, Hazel enjoys being held like a baby and planting herself in a lap for hours. Hazel is also very playful, she loves to chase string toys and bounce around the room. You may have noticed by her profile pictures, but Hazel loves playing dress up! She's almost always willing to put on a fashion show.

*Hazel is not the biggest fan of other cats, she much prefers to be the center of attention! We aren't sure how she'd do with a dog, but we assume she would bully them. The same goes for young children, so we recommend she go to a home with either older kids or adults.

**Hazel has skin allergies, which is currently managed by a special diet and medication. If not managed, this allergy causes her to break out into a super itchy rash.

If you are interested in adopting this cat, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific cat but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! We may require all household members, including children, to come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, and a small bag of food to get you started.
