Fred is a wonderful loving young kitty with an incredible story! Fred came into our rescue severely injured...the vet at the hospital where he was treated thinks he was attacked by a large dog or coyote. He was a stray kitty who befriended a family.
A couple of weeks after he had shown up, they found him drenched in blood with a traumatic leg injury. They called Animal Control to pick him up as they knew he needed immediate help. Animal Control secured him and were able to scan for a microchip...he didn't have one. As the officer was putting Fred in the crate...he bolted!. Ultimately our rescue was able to respond and we rushed Fred straight to an Emergency Vet Hospital. He had lost so much blood that he was severely anemic and it was touch and go for a few days! But apparently Fred has 10!!! lives and one of those was used by escaping from Animal Control!...as with his injuries and condition he, would surely have been euthanized! Fred not only survived his injuries he is now 100% perfect and is looking for his forever home.
Fred is approximately a year old. He is neutered, vaccinated, Fiv/Felv negative. He is an absolute lover boy. He is now ready to find his forever home. Do you have space in your home and heart to welcome him into your family? If so, please fill out an application. Below is our adoption process:
Save A Kitty, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) kitty rescue. Our adoption process is as follows: We require a completed application, a home check, and an adoption fee (with the amount depending upon the kitty). We will also discount the adoption fee, if an individual adopts 2 kitties at the same time. All of our kitties have been quarantined for a minimum of 15 days, had their shots, been tested for FIV/FELV, given parasite treatment, and will be spayed/neutered before being placed into their forever home.

We have a 2 page application. We do a home check and have an option if we adopt to do a follow-up visit. Our adoption contract is a legal document and includes no release of adopted cats to a third party. We have an adoption fee that ranges from $125 to $200 depending upon the kitty, which helps us with some of the medical costs to ready our kittens for adoption (including testing for FIV/FELV, spaying/neutering, shots, deworming, and flea treatment). If 2 cats are being adopted, we will sometimes reduce the fee. Even if we do a home check, that does not constitute an adoption.
