My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cocoa is an amazing senior lab with a heart full of love to give. It's unfortunate that she ended up in a shelter, but it's wonderful that she has a friendly and loving personality that makes everyone want to pet her. Cocoa is very low maintenance.
Her experience living with small dogs, cats and her being housebroken are great qualities that can make her a wonderful addition to a loving home. Cocoa's constant wagging tail is a sign of her happiness and excitement, and it's clear that she enjoys being around people.
The volunteers at the rescue love her – that speaks volumes about her friendly and lovable nature.
Cocoa has age related arthritis that is managed with anti inflammatory meds. Cocoa can be sensitive to touch around her hip area, she was hit by a car years ago. This does not stop her from walking and playing. We have no history with children so NO children for Cocoa. She can cohabitate with submissive dogs that will not jump on her. A dog meet and greet is needed, as she can be dog selective.
Senior dogs like Cocoa make fantastic companions. They often have a calm and gentle demeanor, and they appreciate the comfort of an orthopedic bed as they age. If you're considering adopting a dog, Cocoa might be a great choice. She has the love and companionship to offer, and she deserves a loving forever home where she can live out her golden years in comfort and happiness.
