Katharina is a is 4 -year-old Coonhound mix of something who currently weighs around 75 pounds. Katharina is fully vetted, crate trained and ready for her furever home.
Katharina is not a typical Coonhound, as she prefers to be a stay-at-home dog, laying in or on your lap the whole day and then next to or on your bed with you! Katharina doesn’t enjoy leaving home, but she loves other dogs, in the home. She will make a great companion dog and due to this would prefer a home with a fenced in yard so she can be let out to do her business and roam a bit and come right back in!
In her foster home Katharina has met many different types of dogs of all sizes and ages and she welcomes them in with no issues and shows them the rope!
As for children, Katharina has done well with them, but we are noticing she would prefer older kids.
If you are interested in adopting Katharina, please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt.
***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt.***
