My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

The adorable litter of Pokémon babies were born on August 6, 2023 and came as a complete surprise to the owner of their mama. The owner had originally approached me feeling they needed to surrender mama Onix because they could not afford any of the amounts they were getting quoted for a spay. They did not realize they had a boy and girl at first as that was not what they were told on Craigslist. Once discovering this they separated them right away and tried to have her spayed, but was having difficulty finding a vet to do the spay and was affordable.  It had been more than 30 days so they thought they were in the clear with any pregnancy, but wait gestation is 31-35 days for a bunny. Surprise! We took in both mama and her babies when they were a week old. Mama was underweight as she had not been taking in the extra calories needed during pregnancy and for nursing infants.  We started fattening her up and the milk started to flow.  We then helped the owners and sponsored a spay/neuter for both their bunnies.  These little ones are now fully weaned and ready to move on to their own furever families.  They all are so playful and love to do binkies and zoomies. They are so fun to watch! They've been handled since they were a week old and are pretty much potty trained. They are still babies so not 100% perfect yet.  These babes will be spayed/neutered as soon as they are old enough. We know they will warm your heart as much as they do ours.

Additional adoption info

Please note that all information submitted by the applicant will be kept confidential and only used to approve or deny the adoption of a bunny(ies) and serve as part of the adoption record.

Clover Hop Bunny Friends is with you every step of the way when adopting your new bunny companion. Our adoption process makes certain the bunny you adopt is the right match for you and your family and that you know how to properly care for your bunny before you head home. Both Pre and Post-adoption we are always available for any questions, concerns or advice you may need. With the proper care and attention, house rabbits can live to be around 10-12 years old.

After we review your application we will contact you and ask you any additional questions we may have and give you the opportunity to have all your questions answered.

The next step is to setup an appointment for you to meet the bunny(ies) you are interested in adopting. We request that everyone in the household be present for this appointment so that we can make sure the bunny(ies) is the right match for the whole family. We also want to make sure there are no hidden bunny allergies among the household members.

If you are adopting a bunny to be a friend to another bunny(ies) you will be asked to bring this bunny(ies) as well so that we can make the introductions and bond the bunnies. Bonding can be dangerous and can end with bad injuries if not done properly.

If all works out, you will be asked to sign an adoption contract, pay the adoption donation fee and go through a rabbit care and safety lesson. You will then be ready to take your new friend home.

Clover Hop Bunny Friends adopts to indoor only homes and adoptions are intended to be permanent for the life of the bunny. You are not to surrender the bunny to any shelter, give the bunny away or sell the bunny. If a situation comes up that you believe hinders you from keeping your bunny, then you must contact Clover Hop Bunny Friends so that we can help you work through it or if absolutely necessary make arrangements for the bunny to come back to us.

Clover Hop Bunny Friends strives to make the adoption process as seamless and as enjoyable as possible. We are excited to be able to assist you in your search of a bunny companion.
