My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Buddy aka Spruce! I was rescued in Texas after the devastating winter storms of February 2021, & transported to Florida to live at Big Dog Ranch. I did get adopted for awhile but they decided I might do better in another home so here I am again. I am a little bit shy when meeting new people so give me some time to get to know you. I promise I'm very very friendly once I open up! I like to play in the yard, but I also know when it's time to relax. I could benefit from further training, but I've already been housetrained! I LOVE to go for long leashed walks here on the ranch but I am a bit nervous coming out of my room at first, so I could use some practice. It's so nice to sniff around and get fresh air. I am very much looking forward to being able to join you on a walk really soon! I love the people I befriend, but I can be a little picky about dogs, so please make sure I always have proper introductions. I think I'd make a wonderful family dog with a little patience and a lot of love and treats!!

If you are interested in adopting a dog from us please visit our website adoptions page to complete an adoption application. at www.bdrr.org/adopt. This will help us make sure we find you the right dog to fit your situation and family. Once you have completed the application, we will contact you to let you know you have been approved and then you will be able to set up an appointment to come and meet dogs you are interested in. Our adoption fees range depending on the dog's breed, age and other factors.
