My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

KELLER was saved from a kill shelter in Louisiana and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 10 October 2023.

KELLER is neutered, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch.He has an estimated date of birth of May 2023 and on 26 October 2023 weighed around 60 pounds. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind.

We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue     YouTube channel     and     photo albums on our Facebook page     to see a LOT of pictures and videos.

KELLER is a big, affectionate love bug who cannot look at anyone without waggling his bum which wags his body.

He loves to play and charge around with his other dogs friends, but can be very calm and gentle with people.

He has been around adults of all ages, shapes and sizes, small children and people with special needs and was gentle and loving.

He is responsive and can be a little shy on occasions, he has been out on adventures and came on our December outing to Bissell Brothers Brewery where he had a great time.

He does need an active family who will ensure he gets all the exercise, both mentally and physically that he needs to live a happy fulfilling life.

We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.

KELLER is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a  reduced adoption  fee of $100.

Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application.

HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7.

FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily.

CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats.
