My name is Carl. I have been in rescue ever since I was rescued from the e-list. I am more on the shy side until I get to know you, but have come a long way as my foster family has been working on socializing me. However, if you want a quick way to win me over just sit in the back yard and throw a ball for me! We will work on being best buddies real quick. I would do wonderful as an only dog as I like to play by myself however, I am open to meet a new friend as long as we can have a slow introduction. I would be great as a hiking buddy as well. My foster mom has learned that I love to play with the water from the hose just as much as I love to play with my ball. I am kennel trained, potty trained, dog door trained, leash trained and ride great in the car and I also know the command sit, paw and down! I have been around these other 4 legged animals that I hear are cats and I could care less about them. I would probably be best with older kids since I can get over excited when littles are playing and then like to jump on them. If you would like to know more about me please, reach out to the rescue and they would be happy to provide you with my foster mom's information. One last thing I am also part of the Pets for Vets program!

More about this rescue
Here at Arf-Anage Dog Rescue, our motto is "No Mom Left Behind". We specialize in moms and pups from local shelters as well as the Navajo reservation. When fosters are available, we also help with puppies that are owner-surrendered, "accidental" litters, or the last of a litter that someone just "couldn't get rid of".
Once our Mama dogs are done raising their pups, they are given time to recover then spayed, rehabbed, and made ready for forever families.
Puppies are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We orient them into a foster-home environment and begin potty training and socialization. We find them great forever homes and in case it doesn't work out, we take the dogs back and find them another loving home. We offer 80% refunds on adoption fees up to 5 days after the adoption.
In some situations, we also offer assistance to help find free or reasonable spay and neuter services for owned pets.
