My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Brittney is a 2 year old, 35lb, pit bull terrier of sorts. Because she is a bully breed, and there isn’t a more maligned group of dogs out there, she has been overlooked for 4 months. But that’s quite alright with us - we know that sometimes you save the best for last.

Brittney is the happiest dog on the planet and loves everyone and everything. She is social, outgoing, and would turn the blackest of hearts a shade of gray. She is looking for a relatively active home that would enjoy having her apart of daily activities. She loves playing with other canine companions, chasing squirrels, and hanging out in the dugout when her foster mom plays softball. She is kennel and potty trained and would do equally well in an apartment or home with a backyard, so long as she can stretch her legs throughout the day. (She’s a 10,000 steps type of girl.)

Like your stereotypical bully breed, Brittney has absolutely no concept of spatial awareness and her cuddling and kissing skills are unmatched. Also unparalleled are her chewing skills. If she wouldn’t make for a perfect family dog, Chewy would already have her on contract for product testing.

Brittney is a 2-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-kill shelter. This dog is current on vaccinations, microchipped, 4DX tested, and spayed/neutered. This dog is also tested with other dogs, kennel-trained, and housebroken. Brittney will not be in attendance at our January 27, adoption event. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if it might be a good fit for your home.

The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website: www.bounceanimalrescue.org/adoption/. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.

We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)

Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.

Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).

For additional questions regarding meeting this dog please contact us via text/email at 970.699.6772, or contact@bounceanimalrescue.org. We apologize for any inconvenience, but due to a high volume of inquiries, calls and voicemails regarding adoption will not be returned.

Thank you for choosing adoption! If you would like more information on our organization please visit our website at www.bounceanimalrescue.org.
