I'M STILL HERE WAITING
Take a look at Latte, again. We've highlighted Latte several times but unfortunately, she is still here, waiting. She was born on December 21, 2021 and has been patiently waiting in our shelter for her forever home since August 29, 2022. That's a long time.
Latte deserves much more than shelter walls. She needs a big backyard, with room to run. She loves to splash and cool off in her wading pool after chasing tennis balls or going on a walk. Despite spending most of her life in our shelter, she hasn't lost her zest for life and she hasn't given up on finding a loving family to call her own.
Is Latte a perfect dog? Of course not. She does need some work? Absolutely. She has made a lot of progress since we first met her but a shelter is not the best learning environment and she has been in our shelter over 600 days. Plus, she's intelligent and eager to learn , making her the perfect candidate for basic obedience training.
She doesn't make friends with the other dogs very easily. If she meets another dog that she likes, she is a playful, energetic pup. But then she has to watch them get chosen for a new home while she is still waiting for someone to choose her. It can be disappointing for her, and for us. But, we keep waiting. Hopefully, soon, someone will walk through our door, and they will think Latte is absolutely the most perfect, beautiful dog ever. And they will be right!
