My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rory, a young feline with a heart full of love and a spirit brimming with curiosity. Her playful nature fills the room with energy, often making her the center of attention. She's smart too, quickly figuring out how to open doors or find that hidden toy. Rory's sweet and friendly demeanor is infectious, turning even the gloomiest days bright. She's always ready for a game or a cuddle, and her curiosity about the world is boundless. Adopting Rory means welcoming a bundle of joy, love, and adventure into your life. She's ready to make your home her forever home, filling it with her warmth and charm.

More about this shelter

Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue, operating the Lucedale Animal Shelter in Lucedale, MS. We travel up to the north monthly with all of our adopted pets.
Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
