Meet our silly girl named Buffy! Buffy came to our shelter after she was found tied to a pole in one of our local parks. We think she is about 4 years old, and she is a very friendly girl. Buffy has short little legs and an elongated body. We think she is some kind of Hound or Beagle mixed with a muscular breed of dog. Buffy can be a little jumpy at first, but she calms down quickly. She is a playful girl who really loves to get attention from people. She is good with other dogs and is very playful with them. Buffy hasn't shown any aggression towards cats, but she is very barky around them. She can go to a home with children 10 years old and older.

MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. The office phone number is 203-235-4179. Leave a message, and someone will call you back promptly.
You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.
An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
