My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jet arrived at the Humane society in 2023 due to his owners being evicted and not being able to find housing that allowed dogs. He would love to have a fenced in yard to run around and play in. His previous owners did not walk him on a leash so he's a little uneasy with restrictions around his neck. Once he has a harness or collar on, he seems to be ok with it but does not enjoy the process of putting on or taking off.
Jet did come from a home with 2 cats. He has not been tested with medium or large sized dogs so he may be dog selective.
We were told that he is unsure about men but has been doing well with our male volunteers.
Once he gets to know you, Jet loves butt scratches! Because of his breed (we were told husky, but we are thinking he's possibly an Akita mix) he can get a little nippy when playing and would greatly benefit from a home with experience of this breed or have the opportunity of obedience training. His favorite toys are stuffed animals and loves to just carry them around with him.
This beautiful boy would work ideally in a home with a fence and plenty of activity.
If you think Jet would be a great addition to your household, please apply or call for more information.

Additional adoption info

We try to have a thorough process that ensures animals are placed in loving homes that are capable of caring for the animal. We have an application that requires references and we interview both the references and the applicants, before we place a pet.
