Iris came to the shelter from a mass removal of cats that were in an unhealthy environment on May 10th of 2023. Iris was pregnant and started having difficulties giving birth. She was taken in for an emergency C-section of which she had 3 kittens. Unfortunately the kittens did not survive but Iris recovered perfectly from her surgery. Iris is a sweet girl who enjoys head scratches and would love to be in a clean home where she will never have to worry about where her next meal will come from.
Iris is looking for a foster home at this time as she recently had a seizure that was very hard on her. She has started on Phenobarbital medication and it is working perfectly. She requires half a pill twice daily and takes her meds well. Please consider giving Iris a chance and helping her through this manageable diagnosis. Iris is FIV positive which means that she will need yearly vet visits and to be kept up to date on vaccines. She also needs to be kept indoors.
To meet Iris, please contact the shelter for an appointment at 519-833-2287 or email info@uppercredit.com
