I'm Buckwheat, a male crested guinea pig who was born 9/2/23 after my parents were misgendered. I am very young so I will need a lot of handling at first to get me used to humans so I'm not an ideal choice for families with preschool children. I am looking for another male guinea pig to bond with and be my buddy.
If you are interested in being my forever family, please go to the "ADOPTION" tab on our website www.ogpr.org and complete the REQUIRED 4 steps.
We ask for a minimum donation of $50 per guinea pig made to the rescue. One free wellness check at our specified vet is included with each adopted guinea pig

The Oakhurst Guinea Pig Rescue is based out of Decatur, Georgia. We are a foster based rescue so we DO NOT have a brick and mortar building. All of our guinea pigs live in foster homes and once your application is accepted, we will schedule a meet and greet appointment for you to meet and adopt a pair of guinea pigs or a single guinea pig ONLY if you have a single guinea pig that needs a buddy. GUINEA PIGS SHOULD NOT LIVE ALONE BUT IN PAIRS OR MORE.
