Mauzie is a sweet, loving, energetic lady who really wants her own person or family to spend her life loving. She is happiest when she can be your shadow and is ready for any adventure you might dream up. Sleeping in her kennel is a strong suit of hers as she happily goes in and is silent all night long. Please note, she would much prefer to sleep on the bed with her humans and promises not to crowd too much. Dog friends make her happy and while she doesn’t understand cats, she knows they have pokey paws and to leave them alone. She’s extremely smart and very strong-willed so would be best suited with someone who can give her some loving time, attention and patience to work on boundaries and discipline. She does know sit, lay down and kennel already and is working on “off” when she jumps. Mauzie deserves the very best life only the greatest human can provide.
Mauzie is a 2-year-old mixed breed rescued from a high-kill shelter. This dog is current on vaccinations, microchipped, 4DX tested, and spayed. This dog is also tested with other dogs, kennel-trained, and housebroken. We would love for you to meet this dog and see if it might be a good fit for your home.
The first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website: www.bounceanimalrescue.org/adoption/. Pending approval, your application is valid for 1 year, and you will be eligible to request a hold on an individual animal for the Saturday adoption event. The hold does not require that you take the animal home, but ensures you get to meet and make an adoption decision prior to other applicants. Also pending approval, you will be able to acquire foster home contact information, so you inquire on personalities of specific animals.
We do offer midweek private adoption appointments for approved applicants pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules. Because we are 100% foster-based, private adoption appointments are only offered for individual animals. (If interested in viewing multiple animals at one time, we encourage you to attend our adoption events!)
Please note, we do not have the ability to process adoption applications at our adoption events, so please plan accordingly. If an application is submitted past 5pm on Monday-Thursday, it will begin review the following day. If submitted on Friday-Sunday, it will begin review on Monday. It takes approximately 1-2 business days for an application to be processed.
Our adoption events take place every Saturday from 10am-Noon at Pet Supplies Plus (Front Range Village, 2912 Council Tree Ave #100, Fort Collins, 80525).
