My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Buddy is a 6 year old fixed male, he loves to cuddle and has a very chill attitude. He came into the rescue when his owner could no longer care for him due to her health issues. Buddy knows how to kennel up, sit, up and down and will take treats gently from your hand. He goes for his booster shots in a few weeks and would love to go to his furever home after. Buddy is a big baby. He was never around anyone or anything other than his mom his whole life until he came to us. So he may need a little extra patience. He ignores our cats and is ok with our smaller dogs, but larger dogs, loud dogs, and energetic dogs he's honestly really scared of. He is very submissive and not a fan of getting his nails or teeth done but is starting to like dental bones. He loves going for walks, does awesome on the leash, and also likes sitting in the lazy boy. Especially if someone else is already in it. You see, this big baby is a lap dog and would love nothing more than a quiet home where he'd get lots of cuddles. Additional adoption info

A few Steps from home animal Rescue requires a adoption contract to be filled out prior to adopting an animal. By filling this out, it does not mean you will be eligible for one of our pets. We do extensive veterinary and reference checks on all potential applicants. We do ask for a donation fee for the adoption of our animals to cover the vet care we have provided to the animals. After approval a contract is required to be signed.
