Grant is a very smart boy and has a reserved personality. He's a sweet boy and does love to be cuddled and petted, but probably won't ask for it right off. WIll probably take the "furever parent" to just do it, and once he knows he can trust, he will start asking for it. He learned potty training in about 2 - 3 weeks. Not any accidents, BUT foster mom doesn't give a lot of opportunities. We get up and go out to potty right out of our kennel, when we wake from a nap or if we've played a lot inside. He seems to be connecting "potty" to the outdoors, but I would still work on that. Foster mom gives treats still when he kennels and when he goes potty (he does still come after potty and expects it!! a bit spoiled)!! He hurt his foot back in Jan, and was sitting prior to that, however the foster parent didn't make him during the injury and now we are having to work on sit again. His reserved nature tends to question everything, including training. He also has a sensitivity to him, so a very complimentary / encouraging manner of training is essential for him. Goes back to the trust thing. He's been with the same Foster mom since 6 weeks old, but still will question trusting her, so.....that's the Grant man!! He is a very great boy, loves outside, loves to play with his siblings and his foster mom's dogs....hangs well with a 68 pound dog!! He and His siblings are one of the best groups of pups this foster mom has had!! You'll be getting a GREAT dog. Does recommend an active family/person with a yard!! He likes to go on walks and be active. Still needs some leash training.
