Nani is a quiet reserved little girl. She was released to rescue because she wasn’t producing good litters for her breeder. In the yard she likes to explore, she is slowly gaining confidence & courage. She doesn’t get too far away from you because she likes to be in proximity with others. Her foster mom says she stays very close while walking around the house. She does best learning from her foster siblings; she sees them as a safe zone. We would like to see her find a home with some siblings of similar size & energy level, but she would likely do okay as an only dog. She allows her foster mom to pet her while she is eating & if she walks by. She will sit in a lap for a little bit but prefers to sit in her own space close to you.

She will need a secure physically fenced yard. Please remember, this is for her safety & comfort as well as other reasons, like to continue her potty training. Leash & harness training is not an option for now. She is doing well going in & out the door to the yard, but this is also very new to her, so patience & time is an absolute must.

Nani is learning & progressing with her house training. Her foster family has been diligent about taking her outside at regular intervals. She will need a family that is dedicated to giving her plenty of opportunity to continue her training success.

Nani is an absolute doll, and she will make a fabulous roommate. We hope to find her a human friend that is interested in spending the day with Nani watching & observing the world. Nani isn’t a lap dog (yet) or an ‘adventure’ dog. She is a dog that is finally getting her chance to lounge around & be a dog!
