Blue is a gorgeous American Staffordshire Terrier. He is approx. one year old and is a very friendly boy. He wants to greet all people and receive attention. He has also done very well with other dogs. He is not too interested in cats but just like all dogs he will need a proper introduction to cats in the home. He is currently suffering from allergies and we are working hard to figure out what he is allergic to so he is on medication. He is a good boy and enjoys his play time and enjoys walking and being with his people. Blue is stressed at the shelter and does not like being at the shelter in a kennel. He prefers to be with his people. Our shelter is full of wonderful cats and dogs just waiting for you to come and take them home. Our adoption requirements are that you must provide a loving home and all your current animals are spayed or neutered. We begin the adoption process with an adoption application. Our adoption fees are: Adult Cats $65, Kittens $85, Adult Dogs $105, and Puppies $150. All animals are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccines, on flea prevention, have been heartworm/ feline leukemia/ FIV tested and are micro-chipped.

Our mission is to provide temporary shelter, care and medical attention for stray, surrendered or otherwise homeless cats and dogs in Blackford County, to prevent animal cruelty and neglect and prosecute offenders, to strengthen the human-animal bond through education and adoption, and to promote the importance of spaying and neutering to help control the pet population.

We are very rescue friendly and are grateful to the rescues in their efforts to help us with our animals. We do require a signed contract with the rescues we work with.
