18-month-old Lewie is smart, active, silly, and according to his foster mom, “bouncy like Tigger” when he’s feeling playful. But that’s where the tiger-like qualities end! Lewie is an affectionate velcro boy who likes to give kisses, cuddle on top of his humans and, and sleep on top of them like a teeny, tiny pug blanket. He is crate trained and currently getting an A+ in his housetraining studies thanks to his intelligence and the power of positive reinforcement. When it comes to mealtimes, Lewie prefers to graze slowly, eating in small amounts, wandering away to be a part of the action, and then returning to his bowl for more small bites. He adores the company of other dogs and loves to play with toys, even when they are bigger than he is. Because Lewie is so social, his ideal forever home will include at least one human who is home frequently; another canine friend would be the icing on top of the cake!
