My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, fellow donut enthusiasts! I'm Winchell's, a four-legged connoisseur of coziness and all things sweet. I've had my fair share of adventures, but now I'm on the lookout for an adopter who can appreciate the finer things in life - like a good donut and a purr-fect feline companion.
I've got a bit of a story to tell. You see, I used to roam the streets, but my luck changed when I found my way to Stray Cat Alliance. Now, I'm hoping to find a forever home where we can share the sweetness of life together.
They say I'm as sweet as the glaze on a donut, and I can't argue with that! I've got a friendly and playful side once you get to know me, but I might need a little time to warm up - just like a donut fresh out of the oven. Once I'm comfortable, get ready for a purr-fest and some delightful moments together. I will spend a lot of time with you; my favorite spot will be on your shoulders.
I'm dreaming of a home where we can create our own cozy corner, just like the atmosphere in a donut shop. A place where I can curl up on a comfy couch, and you can enjoy your favorite donut while we share some quality time together. Bonus points if you're a donut aficionado like me!
If you're ready to bring a sprinkle of joy into your life (and maybe share a donut or two), reach out to the fantastic folks at Stray Cat Alliance. They know all about my love for treats and can guide you through the adoption process. I'm ready to be the sweet addition to your home - the missing piece to your purr-fect day.

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
