My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello, my name is Raven. I may appear shy at first, but once you get to know me, you'll find a sweet and gentle soul beneath my cautious exterior. Patience is key with me as I take my time to warm up to new people and environments. But trust me, it's worth the wait!

I have a special fondness for treats. When you offer me these tasty morsels, I feel safe and comforted. While indulging in my treats, I am more open to affection and will allow you to pet me. It's a delightful way for us to bond and build trust.

I long for a loving home where I can truly live my best life. Somewhere quiet and calm, with a person who understands my need for patience and respect. With the right person by my side, I know I can blossom into the confident and content feline I truly am.

If you're willing to be that person with the kind heart and abundance of patience, please consider opening your home and heart to me!

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
