My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baldwin is the goofiest and most playful little man. He is small for his age, but he is a little pocket-rocket of fun and love. He loves people and other cats, and gets along with everyone he meets, only demanding a fair amount of attention and play time in return. When he is not chasing scrunchy balls, laser lights, or his fellow cats, he loves to spend time perched on a comfy bed by the window watching the day go by, and when the day is done, he will faithfully cuddle up on the bed with you. He even responds to the phrase "Bed time?, which sets him off on a fast-paced dash to beat you to the bed. He truly is a special cat. He always comes when he is called too, no matter where he is, or what he is doing-He is a smart little guy. Baldwin needs a special adopter to match his specialness as he was diagnosed with a heart condition as a kitten.
He needs a daily pill to keep his love-filled little heart beating strong and surely. It is no big deal really. He is an absolute superstar when it comes to taking his daily oral meds and the process has become a great bonding moment for both Baldwin and his foster, and is completed with no fuss at all. Baldwin is one of the sweetest and most unique little cats ever, and he adds so much love to any room he happens to be chilling in. Baldwin will do best in a home with at least one other cat and is not available for adoption as the only cat in the home.

Go meet their pets

Due to COVID-19, we are not currently holding in-person adoption events. Most of our cats are in foster homes and we are doing virtual meet-and-greets with them.

We also have adoptable cats at our two partner cat cafes – CatCafe Lounge (https://www.catcafelounge.com/) in West Los Angeles and Cat Therapy (https://www.cattherapysb.com/) in Santa Barbara. You can make a reservation on their websites, or we can arrange a meeting by appointment once you have filled-out our application and spoken to our team.

More about this rescue

Stray Cat Alliance is a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering communities to advocate for every cat’s right to be safe, healthy, and valued. Everyday, our team works to save the helpless lives of kittens and cats by providing: spay/neuter, trap-neuter-return (TNR), adoptions, wellness care, medical care, and community shelter support. Our goals are to:

-Eradicate cruelty toward cats through advocacy, rescue, and education.
-Find loving forever homes for cats and kittens taken in through all of our programs.
-Help shelters transform from executioners to safe havens for cats by implementing SCA’s life-saving policies and procedures.
-Educate the community about the plight of free‐roaming cats and empower people to take action to stop population growth through spay and neuter.
-Create and sustain a No-Kill Nation by mentoring other communities to become no-kill through our grassroots programs.

Stray Cat Alliance envisions a time when all cats are valued and safe whether in homes or communities, and when shelters serve as temporary safe havens.
