My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, wonderful folks! I'm Hank, a delightful eleven-month-old Labrador/Husky mix with a heart as big as my paws! I have beautiful blue eyes and the creamiest color fur. I have an array of favorite things that make my tail wag with joy! Toys, especially the rubbery ones and tennis balls, bring out the playful side in me. My foster mom and I have a blast when she tosses them my way. Kibbles are another love of mine, and my foster mom, uses them for training treats! I'm learning to settle nicely, signal when I need to do my business , and mastering all sorts of fun commands like sit, shake, and high five! Walks are a delight with me – I am pretty energetic when I go for walks but after a few minutes, I enjoy stopping to sniff things, and wiggle happily along the way. Calm cuddles on the couch are right up my alley, where I'll lean in for a snuggle. And yes, peanut butter is my ultimate weakness. Now, here's a little secret—my absolute favorite thing ever is belly rubs! Nothing beats sprawling out with a kind human, soaking in lots of pets and attention. I'm a sweet, shy, silly, happy, and easy-going guy who might just be the perfect addition to your home. It's important to note that I'm still learning about the feline friends in the world, so patience is key as I navigate the ins and outs of understanding them better. Additionally, meeting new people can make me a bit unsure initially, but give me some time, and you'll see the lover in me shine through. If you're looking for a forever pup to make your home even cozier, I'd love to meet you! Who knows, you might just be my forever family, and I could be your forever pup. ❤️

More about this rescue

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."
