I am a pretty girl and know I am special. I prefer not to be picked up, I like to wander, I also find my way to you in my own time to snuggle and nap. I was found in a colony of cats in the country of MS. I was with my kittens and the rescue took us in. It was no place for my kitties to grow. They are old enough to find homes and it is time for me to find mine.
Ana Leigh is in our community room and does great with other cats. She does not like dogs. We would not recommend a household with small children that try to pick her up.
For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. Mississippi is overpopulated too many animals, not enough homes, and many high kill shelters. For Pet's Sake Rescue saves each animal from a different background.

For Pet's Sake Rescue transports animals to other states with better adoption potential. Our goal is to keep animals alive and out of kennels into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Each animal is quarantined and vetted during their time in our care. Each adopted pet is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and has current flea treatment unless otherwise noted.

Once we review your application and check your vet reference, we will contact you to proceed. If both parties agree to the adoption, we will send you an Adoption Contract with an invoice. Once the invoice is paid, your pet is "on hold" for you to pick up or we can transport the pet to you during a scheduled transport. Transports are arranged for specific dates. We will discuss these dates and locations with you during the initial phone call.
We are currently unable to adopt pets to ME and RI residents.
