My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paxton came in with several sisters and his mom as strays. They were all very shy when they arrived at the rescue. After lots of attention and good care he is coming out of his shell and is ready for his forever family that will continue to have patience with him. This will be rewarded many times over with a loyal, playful and entertaining boy. Paxton is negative for the triple snap test, is up to date on his vaccinations and parasite control and will be microchipped and neutered prior to his adoption.

We travel to the East coast area once a month with our pre-adopted pets.

We can coordinate video calls to coordinate a virtual meeting with potential adopters. Our adoption coordinator will help to match the personality of each pet to interested applicants.

More about this shelter

We are located in South Mississippi, but travel up the east coast regularly (every 3 to 4 weeks) with pre-adopted animals.Dixie Adoptables is one of many shelters working to get animals out of the area where shelters are always full, and adoptions of the sweet babies are hard to come by. We are grateful to every person that chooses to adopt and give a home to a loving animal, whose only fault was being born in a part of the country where their value is underappreciated and spay/neuter is done far too infrequently.
Dixie Adoptables is a 501c3 rescue.
