Blue was dropped into a wooded area near Franklin WV about three years ago and left to fend for himself. In a depleted state, he was found and taken in by a woman who had done the same for several other strays. Decades of caring for various breeds of deserted hunting dogs became the focus of her life until she succumbed to cancer in March. Both Blue and Hank are sorely missing their very special human and in need of another loving home. They don't have to be adopted together.

More about this rescue

No shelter in our county, so in 2005, PAWS formed to start the process of building one and to provide foster homes for homeless pets.
