Hi there, my name is Koda and I have come a long way since I first arrived at Stray Haven. I am a possibly Rottweiler mix, but the staff isn't entirely sure about my breed. I came to the shelter unsolicited and was in a pretty bad situation before the staff rescued me. I was very nervous and scared of everything, so they don't know much about my past.
But now, after receiving lots of love and care, I'm ready for a new home. The staff has worked hard to restore me to good health, and I'm feeling much better now. I still have some nervousness, but I'm learning to trust people and the world around me.
However, due to my nervousness, I wouldn't be the best fit for a home with small children. I just need someone patient and understanding who can help me continue to gain confidence and feel safe. Even though I haven't seen much of the outside world, I'm ready to find a loving family who will give me the chance to experience all the wonderful things life has to offer. If you think you might be that family, please come by and visit me at Stray Haven. Stray Haven Humane Society & SPCA 194 Shepard Rd., Waverly, NY 14892 (607) 565-2859, www.strayhavenspca.org Open hours: Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm Saturday-Sunday 10am-4pm Closed on Mondays
