Looking for an all-star cuddle buddy? Taco is your girl! Snuggling with her humans on the couch or bed is basically her favorite thing to do!

Taco’s a very smart girl, a good listener and a quick learner. She’s great on the leash and if she starts to pull she will stop and look at you and wait for you to catch up then walk at your hip.

Taco enjoys snoozing in the sun and feeling the wind in her fur on car rides. But also likes taking breaks to be on her own in her crate, or spread out on a couch she has all to herself! She loves to roll around on the carpet to scratch her back, and then flash her humans a big, goofy smile. She isn’t big into toys but loves bones to chew on.

Taco is a great dog who is looking for someone to give her love and reassure her that she is the best girl, and that the world is a safe place to be. She is looking for a dog-savvy adopter who can help advocate for her when meeting other dogs. Taco likes to meet dogs outside her home and slowly on leash. She is not currently a candidate for dog parks or similarly unstructured environments at this time. She can guard food around other dogs but has come a long way with her foster family on this since arriving in MA. She would do really well with a calmer, adult pup if there is a dog in the home.

Her furever family will be rewarded with an awesome, completely devoted pup!

Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at www.lasthopek9.org.

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
