Merlina is a sweet, SWEET girl!
She was found wandering the streets and her foster mom knew she needed to step up and help! And thank God she did, because Merlina is one of those unicorn dogs, so wonderful and a gentle girl and we cannot imagine WHY she was out on the streets??
She is in a wonderful foster home getting all the love and care she needs, she fit in immediately :) Great with all the foster dogs and any she meets and the same with all the people (big and small). This girl will fill someone's home with love and doggy blonde glitter :D

Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..

If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.

Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.

We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.

We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
