Lewis would make the perfect family pet! He’s a very good boy, and so gentle and kind! He’s very easygoing, and he has a lower energy level. Meandering around the yard for a little bit or a short walk is good enough exercise for him! He’s not too interested in toys or playing, he’s more of a relax and chill kind of guy. Lewis does loves treats and always takes them nicely from your hand. He already knows how to sit on command for one. He is very good at leash walking and doesn’t pull at all. He’s friendly and enjoys being pet, but he’s also able to make his own fun if need be!

Our regular adoption fee is $100 payable by money order or credit card. The fee covers basic vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, heart worm testing for dogs, and the spay/neuter surgery.

You will be required to sign to an adoption contract and other paperwork relating to the adoption of your new family member.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday 5 pm to 7 pm. We are also open on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
