My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS POST WILL BE REMOVED WHEN THE DOG IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. INQUIRIES ABOUT THE ADOPTION STATUS WILL NOT BE RETURNED.

Betty is a happy-go-lucky bundle of sunshine or what is commonly referred to as your typical 4 year old Norwich Terrier.

Betty bounced out of the kennel and straight into our arms for snuggles and scratches. She loves everyone she meets whether it is visitors to her foster home or the neighbor kids down the street who stopped to say hi while she was practicing walking on a leash. If her future home should have children, ages eight and up would be best due to her size. Betty is itty bitty at only 12 pounds! Don't let her size fool you, she is ready and willing to do just about anything the big dogs do. She loves playing with her foster dog siblings, chewing on toys, and patrolling the yard for squirrels. A fenced yard is a must for Betty as she loves to explore. Going on walks will come with time as leashes are still new, but she loves being outside and is eager to learn.

Betty is kennel trained. She happily snoozes the day away or chews on a bone while foster Ma and Pa are at work. She is a very quiet girl at night when she's sleeping in her kennel, but sometimes in the early morning, she will give a soft "arooooooo" when she needs to go potty. Foster Ma really appreciates the heads up instead of a mess! Speaking of pottying, Betty is learning to go outside and does well when kept on a schedule. She has mastered the dog door at her foster home but has yet to initiate going out on her own. That will come with time and routine in her new forever home. If we had to pick one ‘bad’ thing about Betty, it is she loves to give kisses. Some people like this, some people don’t. Foster Ma says ewwww, but maybe you will love it!

Betty has been spayed, had her teeth cleaned, and is up to date on her vaccinations.

The suggested adoption donation for Betty is a minimum of $700 and goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our rescue dogs.

Wag N Train Terrier Rescue adopts to an extended geographical area as long as we can locate a local volunteer to perform the required home visit. Approved adopters are required to travel to Omaha, NE to pick up their newly adopted dog. We do not arrange transport, or fly our rescue dogs without a "pet nanny". All of our dogs that come from a commercial breeding facility require a securely fenced yard AND a resident companion dog, unless the dog's bio states otherwise. Please note, invisible or underground fencing is not considered secure or appropriate containment. Adoption applications can be found at www.wagntrainterrierrescue.com/adoption-information
