My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌟🐾 Meet Bella: A Sweet Poodle Seeking a Patient and Understanding Adopter 🌟🐾

Dear compassionate souls,

💖 Let us introduce you to 3 year old Bella (Lucy's mother), a medium-sized poodle weighing in at 30lbs, who is on a journey to find a special home filled with patience, calmness, and understanding. Bella's past at a commercial breeding facility (an Amish Puppy Mill) has left her with a timid soul, and emotional scars. She's looking for someone who can help her rebuild her trust in the world.

💕 Bella's Unique Needs: Bella's story is one of resilience, but she needs a gentle touch to help her overcome her fears. She's quite nervous and tends to startle easily, as if she's afraid of her own skin. For this reason, Bella would thrive in a calm and quiet environment, especially if children are present – as long as they can respect her space.

A private residence & fenced yard are REQUIRED. No apartments, condos, or communal living quarters are suitable for her needs.

🚶‍♀️ A Work in Progress: Bella is making progress on her journey to confidence. She's still working on potty training and may take her time to find the perfect spot. Walking on a leash is a new adventure for her, and she often follows closely behind her trusted human.

🐕 The Sweet Side of Bella: Underneath her shyness, Bella is a sweet and loving companion. She seeks solace in her safe haven – the couches – and finds comfort in the presence of her human. She's started to enjoy cuddles, and her ability to sleep through the night is improving.

🐾 Patience and Love Required: Bella may not be the most outgoing dog, but she has a heart full of potential. She might howl when you leave, but she'll be overjoyed and energetic when you return. She's learning to trust and will need your patience as she continues to come out of her shell.

✨ Bella's Charm: Her endearing charm shines through her favorite headshots, capturing her beauty and resilience. With time, love, and a nurturing environment, Bella is sure to blossom into the loyal and loving companion she longs to be.

🐶 If you are the patient and understanding adopter Bella needs, if you're ready to offer her a safe space to grow, learn, and love, please consider welcoming her into your heart and home.

More about this rescue

Anarchy Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation was founded in December of 2010, out of need and desire to help address two major animal crises in this country - unwanted adoptable pets and the mistreatment and abuse of animals due to puppy mills. Our goal is to find good, loving homes for as many pets as we can take in, care for medically, and place in responsible homes. After years of working in various animal shelters, fostering and volunteering with local rescue groups, we decided the time has come to do on our own what we do best - save lives! Every year millions of homeless adoptable pets are surrendered to kill shelters across the country. The majority of those animals are put to death due to overcrowding of these shelters. This overcrowding is caused by people purchasing animals from pet stores or breeders and not spaying or neutering their pets. Every time a person buys a pet or allows their pet to breed, perfectly adoptable dogs and cats are killed in a shelter. It is a vicious cycle and can only be stopped with education, outreach and adoption. If everyone adopted their pets from shelters or rescue groups, there would be less euthanasia in our city pounds. When shelters are overcrowded we are called in to help. By us taking shelter pets into our rescue, we open up kennel space so the shelters have room for other animals that are coming in, which results in less animals being put to sleep.
