My story

What a sweet, sweet dog! Smokey (that’s what we call him) is a mature gentleman, about 8 years old, who simply wants to be where his “people” are. He’ll hang out next to you on the sofa, doze at your feet while you work, or whatever you want. If you want to go on a walk, he’s thrilled. As long as he can be with you, he’s happy. So what if he has limited sight – doesn’t slow him down a bit. He navigates house and yard, including stairs, just fine. Having lived in a home, he was pretty sad when he ended up in the shelter. But since he’s been with his foster family, he has been blooming! He is house trained, healthy, gets along well with other dogs, and likes to meet new people. He will make some lucky family a loving, loyal companion.
