My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***IN FOSTER***

Rocky wants you in his corner!

After Rocky Balboa went 15 rounds with the undefeatable Apollo Creed, losing the fight but winning the respect of his doubters, he embraced Adrian Pennino, the woman loved, and...likely went home to relax!

Our Rocky is a lover not a fighter, but even sweet and loving boys like him need to relax, too!

Rocky spent his first month with EHS at the shelter. He was initially reluctant to show his handsome face because he was too afraid of the unfamiliar surroundings and the unknown noises that make him jumpy. It took him a few days to switch from vigilant mode to chill mode, but once he did, Rocky began to explore the rest of his kennel and greet passersby.

It wasn't until Rocky transitioned into a foster home that he really began to thrive and show his true personality. He can no longer conceal his inner sweetheart when he melts into chin scratches or nudges your chin with his head, seeking affection. Rocky likes to shadow his foster mom, staying close to her side and even sleeping next to her all night, keeping her warm. She has described him as a loving boy and excellent company.

Rocky is super playful whether it be with stuffed toys, the laser pointer, or a ribbon wand. Sometimes, his inner "Rocky" comes out and he likes to spar with his foster's hands, but he is always gentle. He also likes to jump around on the cat tree and furniture when he has a bout of the zoomies. Recently, Rocky has become more independent and will spend a few hours of the day either looking out the window or napping in one of his favourite spots around the home.

Rocky's ideal adopter is someone with a calm household who will spend quality time with him and give him the attention that he deeply craves. Rocky does occasionally nip or swat when he is overstimulated, unsure, or wants to be left alone, so a home without small children is a must. His experience with other cats is limited, but he doesn't seem to long for feline companionship and would be happiest being the only pet in the home. His experience with dogs is unknown.

If you have a space in your home and heart for this lovable guy, please submit an adoption application for Rocky, today!
