Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I'm a 4-year-old Poodle/Shih Tzu mix. I weigh about 9 pounds. Carrie On Rescue rescued me when I was in great need of help.
I was emaciated and had several medical issues requiring immediate and live-saving attention. I had a bladder stone which was almost the size of my bladder. I also had broken teeth, infected gums as well as an umbilical hernia.
Thankfully I had the best vet team and vet techs at Val Vista Animal Hospital who made sure I got wonderful care. I had the bladder stone removed, my teeth were fixed and I had the hernia repaired. I also had multiple x-rays, blood tests and a bile duct test, as well as a valley fever test to rule out any other health issues.
I'm very happy to report that after two months of loving care in my foster home I'm doing great and I'm now ready for adoption.
Please note: I will need to be on a special canned diet for life to make sure that the bladder stones won't return. I also require regular professional grooming (about every 10 weeks or so).
Here is a bit more information about me: I'm a very beautiful girl with the most soulful eyes! I am so very sweet, gentle, loving and absolutely darling!
I get along great with everyone I meet: dogs and cats. I'm house trained, quiet and an absolute joy to be around. I walk very well on the leash and ride nicely in the car.
While I'm an indoor dog, I will also need a home with a nice, safely fenced yard to run and play in with my family.
I am not suited for apartment/town home/condo or mobile home living.
If there are children in the home, they must be at least 7 years old as they have impulse control.
I'm spayed, current on my vaccines and microchipped. My adoption fee is $400 which helps cover just a small portion of my medical expenses.
Please contact Carrie On Rescue if you have any questions about me or to request an application.
