My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Bevi came to us a bit under-socialized and is learning all there is to know about being owned and getting attention and love. She needed a bit of a boost of confidence when she first came down, and is doing much better now. She is about five years old, though her clean teeth make it seem maybe a little younger, and is apparently an English Cream retriever mix. We do believe she is mixed with Pyrenees or something else, as her hindquarters seem very Pyrenees, but she weighs only 60 pounds and needs to lose about 10 pounds. She has all of the fluff and feathers of a Retriever and the affable demeanor.

Bevi walks well on her leash and sleeps in her crate. She is house trained and well behaved. She bonds to her people and loves to be with them. She is not a dog that will be in your face, but she will always be close by. She is great in the car, but she does not like to get into the car. Once she is in, she is fine, but so far she has not jumped into the car. She does have a small independent streak, where if she gets her mind set, she thinks that is what should be done. She is fine with cats, though she does not really want them in her face. She does not chase them or go after cats at all. She plays with some dogs, and that is coming out more and more as she gets more comfortable in her new environment. She does prefer to choose her playmates and when she is done, she lets them know.

Bevi loves all people and goes to the office every day to meet lots of people and other dogs. She enjoys being there and getting her socialization on, and she is a joy with everyone. She would do well with older children and dog-savvy children, but little ones running around make her anxious. She does bark, but it is a bark to alert, as opposed to any constant bark. She is great at letting her foster know if there is anyone entering. She just wants her people to know that there are others coming into the building or house. She also enjoys watching the squirrels at the window and dreams of maybe one day being able to catch one.

This girl is going to make an amazing companion and love you completely and utterly without reserve!
