Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The first time I met this sweet boy, I was immediately smitten. He captured my heart. He was so, so sweet. So gentle, so kind. He wanted to be brave, but he wasn’t ready. You could tell he wanted to be brave, to trust and to allow himself to be embraced by humans, but he wasn’t ready yet. No worries, sweet boy. You will get there. I promise. We will make sure we do everything in our power to help you learn to trust again, to love and be doted on. At 5 months old, Bodhi found himself abandoned in a house. He had to fend for himself and rely on kind neighbors for food and water. His family took his adult siblings with them when they moved out but left him behind. We can’t even begin to fathom how that affects a puppy. He was on his own for a few weeks. When he first arrived at Buckeye’s, he would make himself very small, pancaked when you approached him, unsure of what you might do. He would walk very low to the ground. Fast forward to now. Bodhi is slowly coming out of his shell and knows that there is love and kindness in this world. He is learning to trust. He has a few helpers he already trusts and seeks out <3 When he sees them, he barks for them to come over to pet him and then they are free to go about their business 😊He knows food, water, toys and love is abundant and enjoying being fussed over 😊
Bodhi is a 5-month-old blue fawn pittie. He is looking for a home where humans either work from home or have flexible work schedules. He still has a recovery road ahead of him. A family who has the time and patience to show him that a puppy should be spoiled and showered with love and attention and to help him with confidence building. He shows us glimpses of what an amazing sweet, kind pup he could become, and we cannot wait to see his personality shine through with the right family. Come meet him today. You won’t be disappointed. He is honestly just the sweetest, most endearing puppy <3
