Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bonnie is an approximately one year old spayed Boston Terrier who weighs about 20 pounds. She came to us in very bad condition from a crowded Central Valley shelter. She was most likely part of a breeding program and rarely left some sort of small pen. Her skin was in very painfully raw and red condition due to a noncontagious skin condition called demadex. She is recovered now and has grown back most of her missing fur. Unfortunately this same confinement and lack of socialization and training have left her very friendly, but lacking confidence. She's gaining in confidence daily and loves every dog and humans of all ages. She is polite, submissive, and playful with other dogs. We have not tested her with cats. Bostons are known to be active playful dogs and Bonnie is no exception.
She is crate trained but needs continued training to become fully house broken. When frighted or nervous she has some submissive urination. This is subsiding as she gains confidence.
If you think that your family is up for the commitment to continue building her confidence and training you will be rewarded with a fabulous family dog. Please submit an application through 1luckydogrescue.org to be considered for adoption.
