Meet Floyd!!
If you are looking for the smartest, sweetest, cuddliest and most athletic little guy in the world then Floyd is your boy!! Floyd appears to be a Rat Terrier or could have Smooth Fox Terrier in him as well who weighs 15 pounds, is about 2 years old and has guardian angels with him!
Floyd was found at night, curled up in a ball very close to a busy street by the founder of the rescue. He was emaciated with ribs showing, had terrible diarrhea, two cherry eyes (which are scheduled to be repaired in January) and was incredibly frightening as he was shaking. Being so desperate for help he let her pick him up and has now been in rescue for 3 weeks.
Floyd has been vetted and is ow doing great! He was treated for parasites, has been steadily putting on weight and has a great appetite. Recently he discovered he loves balls and has been learning to fetch. He is very athletic but he is also calm in the house. He is happy to cuddle or to go for a run on a leash. He attaches to his human VERY easily and wants nothing more than to be with you. He is 100% housebroken and lets you know when he needs to go out and is not a marker at all.
He is with a foster family in Vegas that has 3 other dogs and gets along with all people, pets and children.
His adoption fee includes:
1. Cherry eye surgery repair
2. Neuter
3. Updated vaccines
4. Microchip
5. Treatment for parasites
6. Starter food
7. New harness and leash
His adoption fee is $250.
As we prescreen via email ONLY (we do NOT make or receive phone calls in the pre-screening phase) please tell us a bit about you such as:

Some notes to consider before applying for Floyd:
1.. Floyd is a young, 2 year old dog who has had a terrible start in life. Please make sure that everyone is on board and ready for the responsibility of a young dog. He is totally housebroken but does need continued socialization on leash and off.
2. Please make sure you are ready to adopt before coming to see our adoptable dogs. We are a foster based rescue and do not have the space to hold dogs for a couple of weeks while you vacation or make your way to California to come and adopt. We will adopt out of state but ONLY if the potential adopter comes here to adopt in person and that is after a screening by Skype. WE DO NOT SHIP DOGS EVER.
3. We are often inundated with emails about our adoptable dogs and try as we might to make everyone happy it is nearly impossible with only one dog and sometimes up to 50 potential families. The more information you provide in your email to us the quicker we will get back to you. If you have written to us before about a particular dog and did not receive a response please do try again. We try to answer every email but it is not always possible. Every dog has different home requirements that we search for so sometimes you are the right fit for the dog we are trying to place.
4. PLEASE do NOT send more than one email. It slows down the process.
5. We do not make appointments for people to just come "see" the dogs available. They are in private foster homes and we go through a pre-screening process before any appointments are made.
